Want to protect that shiny new thermometer you just bought? Thermowells are designed to do just that, while also protecting the process being tested. They are recommended for all process systems where pressure, velocity or viscous, abrasive and corrosive materials are present. A thermometer fits inside the solid stainless steel thermowell, which is positioned to transfer heat or cold from the medium being tested.

Thermowells also allow thermometers to be removed for replacement or repair without affecting the media being tested. 

This thermowell is made of Stainless Steel 304 and has 1/2" mail and female connections for installation.  It is available in a variety of lengths from 2-1/2" to 9".
